Cotton prices remained unchanged as demand was limited at the higher level. Kapas or raw cotton too traded flat. Traders said that exporters and domestic mills’ buying were not so good because of the price rise last week. Moreover, weak international market sentiments also may pressurise cotton price. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton fetched ₹34,500-700 per candy of 356 kg. About 30,000 bales (of 170 kg each) arrived in Gujarat and 55,000 bales arrived in India. Kapas stood at ₹925-990 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was at ₹1,000-1,020. Cottonseed went for ₹475-530.
