Raw cotton or kapas moved down as arrival of new crop increased on Friday. Kapas declined by ₹15 to ₹1,050-1,180 per 20 kg and new kapas fetched ₹800-1,100 per 20 kg. About 5,000 maunds of 20 kg arrived in Gujarat. Cottonseed stood at ₹550-590 per 20 kg. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton was up by ₹100 to ₹46,000-47,000 per candy of 356 kg and new cotton was at ₹44,500-44,700. About 40,000 bales of 170 kg arrived in India.
