The buyers showed interest in buying all the arrived new turmeric on Monday. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard the finger turmeric sold at ₹5,466 to ₹8,541 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹5,356 to ₹7,900 a quintal. At the Regulated Marketing Committee the finger turmeric sold at ₹7,109 to ₹8,117 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹6,909 to ₹7,799 a quintal. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society finger turmeric sold at ₹7,279 to ₹8,355 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹7,189 to ₹8,088 a quintal.
