There was a dip in turmeric arrivals in Erode markets on Monday.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Salesyard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,359-6,322 a quintal and root variety at ₹4,809-5,709. Of the arrival of 804 bags of turmeric, 208 bags were sold. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,100-6,274 and root variety at ₹4,739-5,699. Of 336 bags of turmeric placed for sale, 315 bags were sold. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,056- 6,222 and root variety at ₹4,916-5,789. Of the total arrival of 357 bags, 296 were sold.
