Import fears have pulled down pepper prices on Monday, in both spot and futures markets. Karnataka has consequently reduced its prices from ₹570 a kg to ₹560, trade sources told BusinessLine . On the terminal market, seven tonnes of pepper from the high ranges were traded at ₹600 a kg. Spot prices fell by ₹200 a quintal to close at ₹58,100 (ungarbled) and ₹61,100 (garbled).
