The price of Jasmine has increased to ₹1,000 a kg on Tuesday. “The arrival of jasmine flower for sale has fallen down drastically due to chill weather. On Tuesday, three tonnes arrived for sale and was sold at ₹1,000 per kg, said Muthuswamy, President of the market. “Till January end low arrival will be made due to poor production and the present price with ₹100-200 a kg plus or minus will remain” he said. Similarly, the price of Arabian jasmine (mullai) flower also increased. On Tuesday it was sold at ₹800 a quintal, but only 2 tonnes kept for sale.
