Lead prices fell by 0.22 per cent to Rs 115.25 per kg at the futures trading today amid weak cues from the global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June declined by 30 paise or 0.22 per cent to Rs 115.25 per kg with a business turnover of 676 lots. Similarly, July contract shed 20 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs 115.80 per kg with an open interest of 50 lots.
At the London Metal Exchange (LME), lead lost 0.2 per cent to $2,575 a tonne in the early trade today.
Analysts said a weak trend in copper and other base metals overseas and sluggish demand at the domestic spot market mainly put pressure on lead prices at the futures trade today.
