Sentiments in edible oils market remained bullish on Monday tracking firm overseas and domestic futures amid higher physical demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, the trend was mixed. Groundnut and sunflower oil ruled steady. Cotton and palmolein rose by ₹6 and ₹5 each. Soyabean and rapeseed oil declined by ₹3 and ₹5/10 kg each. Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd quoted ₹515 for Malaysian super palm January delivery. Liberty traded palmolein at ₹482/484, super palmolein ₹504 and soyabean refined oil ₹605. Ruchi was quoting palmolein for ₹483, soyabean refined oil ₹604 and sunflower refined oil ₹631. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹484, soyabean refined oil ₹607 and sunflower oil ₹635. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin jumped by ₹20 to ₹1,380 and loose (10 kg) up by ₹10 to ₹880.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 860 (860), soya refined oil 590 (593), sunflower exp. ref. 570 (570), sunflower ref. 625 (625), rapeseed ref. oil 770 (775), rapeseed expeller ref. 740 (745), cottonseed ref. oil 570 (564) and palmolein 482 (477).
