The pepper markets continued to stay hot on Thursday on strong demand amid tight supply. Spot prices closed at ₹58,400 (ungarbled) and ₹61,400 (garbled) a quintal.
April and May contracts on the IPSTA rose by ₹1,000 a quintal to close at ₹63,000 and ₹62,000. Export prices were at $9,825 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,075 a tonne c&f for US.
