The pepper markets on Wednesday ruled steady on matching demand and supply. On the terminal market, 67 tonnes arrived and were traded at ₹575-595 a kg. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹58,000 (ungarbled) and ₹61,000 (garbled) a quintal. May, June and July contracts on the IPSTA were steady at ₹59,000, ₹58,000 and ₹58,000 a quintal respectively. Indian export prices were at $9,750 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,000 a tonne c&f for the US.
