Pepper markets ruled steady as no activities took place in the primary as well as the terminal market. Sellers wanted cash against delivery, while the buyers were not having it. As a result, the sellers raised the price of MG 1 to ₹700/kg. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹65,200 (ungarbled) and ₹68,200 (garbled) a quintal. December, January and February contracts on the IPSTA also stayed steady at ₹67,000, ₹59,000 and ₹56,000 a quintal respectively. Export prices were at $10,550 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,800 for the US.
