Weak demand and decline in buying support at the higher rate dragged chana at the mandis in Indore. Chana was being quoted at ₹4,250-75 a quintal. Compared to last week, chana is ruling at ₹100 higher. Amidst rise in futures and weak availability, chana had risen to ₹4,300 two days back. Chana dal (average) fetched ₹5,200-5,300, chana dal (medium) ruled at ₹5,400-5,500, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,600-5,700 a quintal, respectively. Improved domestic and export demand perked up dollar chana with its prices being quoted at ₹5,100-5,500. Arrivalsacross Madhya Pradesh were recorded at 10,000 bags. In containers, too, dollar chana traded higher on improved export demand with 42/44 count at ₹6,450 a quintal; 44/46 count fetched ₹6,250, while dollar chana 58/60 count was quoted at ₹5,300 a quintal, respectively.
