Imported palmolein jumped by ₹7 and soya oil by ₹1 as local refineries raised their rates tracking weak rupee which makes imports costly. Being cheaper alternative, cotton refined oil also went up by ₹3 for 10 kg. Sunflower and rapeseed oil ruled steady while groundnut oil lost ₹5.
Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd quoted ₹535 for Malaysian super palm February delivery. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹520 (ex JNPT), super palmolein ₹543. Ruchi was quoting palmolein for ₹520, soyabean refined oil ₹618, sunflower refined oil ₹638. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹519, super palmolein ₹543, soyabean refined oil ₹620, sunflower oil ₹637. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin declined to ₹1,530 (1,560) and loose (10 kg) to ₹990 (1,000).
