Sugar prices lost further by ₹15-25 a quintal at Vashi on higher selling pressure amid eased local demand due to unexpected rains. On Monday evening, about 20 mills sold about 45,000 bags at ₹3,210-3,360 for S-grade and ₹3,320-3,500 for M-grade. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,400- 3,525 and M-grade 3,496 – 3,740, Naka delivery rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,400– 3,500and M-grade 3,470-3,600.
