The terminal market and IPSTA remained closed on Monday on account of Buddha Poornima . However, in the open market, around 45 tonnes of pepper from the High Ranges of Kerala and Karnataka were reportedly traded. High Range pepper was traded at ₹605-610 a kg, while Karnataka material was sold at ₹585-590. Some selling pressure from Karnataka was reported following slowdown in the cash and carry business and slack domestic demand, trade sources told BusinessLine .
