India’s tea production fell by 23 per cent year-on-year to 20.93 million kg in January, 2011, while exports went down by 8 per cent to 15.79 mkg.
The country produced 27.09 mkg and had exported 17.13 mkg of tea in January, 2010, according to the latest Tea Board data.
