Edible oils prices declined on back of slack demand amid higher selling pressure on Thursday, tracking weak futures. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, imported palmolein and soya oil slid ₹1 and ₹5 for 10 kg each, while sunflower and rapeseed oils lost ₹10-15 each.
Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd quoted ₹535 for Malaysian super palm February delivery. Liberty traded palmolein at ₹480-483, super palmolein ₹503-504. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹481, soyabean refined oil ₹620 and sunflower refined oil ₹640. Allana traded palmolein for ₹482, super palmolein ₹513, soyabean refined oil ₹621. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was up ₹10 to ₹1,590 and loose (10 kg) was up ₹20 to ₹1,020.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 980 (980), soya refined oil 615 (620), sunflower exp. ref. 580 (590), sunflower ref. 630 (635), rapeseed ref. oil 730 (745), rapeseed expeller ref. 700 (715), cottonseed ref. oil 565 (565) and palmolein 480 (481).
