Gold prices fell 0.2 per cent to Rs 29,324 per ten gram at the futures trade today as participants trimmed their positions, tracking a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month December declined by Rs 60 or 0.20 per cent to Rs 29,324 per ten gram in a business turnover of 221 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants, triggered by a weak trend overseas, weighed on gold prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, gold fell 0.1 per cent to $1,274.70 an ounce in Singapore today.
