Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened almost flat at Rs 31,090 per 10 grams on Wednesday against the previous close of Rs 31,089.
December contract made a high of Rs 31,149 and low of Rs 31,090. It was trading at Rs 31,112 at 12.40 pm. In Comex, gold for December delivery was up by $1 at $1,713 a troy ounce.
The rupee depreciation against dollar has limited the fall in gold prices in India.
