Gold prices fell 0.38 per cent to Rs 26,948 per 10 grams at the futures trade today as speculators locked-in gains amid weak global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for June contract fell Rs 102 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 26,948 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 115 lots.
Similarly, the April contract shed Rs 96 or 0.36 per cent to Rs 26,705 per 10 grams in 436 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and a weak global trend.
Meanwhile, gold prices fell 0.4 per cent to $1,200.10 an ounce in Singapore today.
