Asian stocks retreated from two-month highs on Thursday due to disappointing earnings from Wall Street giants.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 118.94 points or 1.13 per cent to 10,438.16. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng decline 279.32 points or 1.14 per cent to 24,140.30. Singapore’s Straits Times was down 19.1 points or 0.59 per cent at 3,222.86. South Korea’s Kospi was down 9.23 points or 0.44 per cent at 2,106.46.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 dropped 44.2 points or 0.91 per cent to 4,790.40. China’s Shanghai Composite fell 26.43 points or 0.96 per cent to 2,731.67. Taiwan’s Taiex shed 40.92 points or 0.45 per cent to 9,045.10
