NTPC powers up over 3% on NSE

Sesa Sterlite maintained its firm undertone to extend its gains on the NSE by close on Wednesday.At 3.35 pm it was trading at ₹310.10, up 4.69 per cent on its overnight close of ₹296.20.

Energy stock NTPC shot up 3.33 per cent at ₹159.75. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹154.60.

United Spirits bubbled up 2.76 per cent to quote at ₹2,484.10. The stock had ended the overnight session at ₹2,417.40.

BHEL also made rapid gains during the post-lunch session to quote at ₹259.40. This represented a gain of 2.75 per cent on its previous close of ₹252.45.

HDFC rose 2.41 per cent at ₹1,007.80 as against ₹984.10 at close yesterday.
