Apar Industries Ltd's conductor division has bagged orders worth Rs 250 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) for supply of ACSR conductors. It has also received orders from other customers for supply of high temperature conductors (HTC) worth Rs 25 crore, strengthening, in the process, the company's order book position. Apar's conductor division is among the top five in the world.

Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd's board of directors, on March 17, considered the proposal for divestment of its holding in Chemtreat Composites India Private Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary.

Energy Development Company Ltd is in the process of acquiring five hydroelectric projects with a total capacity of 56 MW — two in Arunachal Pradesh having a total capacity of 39 MW and three in Uttarakhand with a total capacity of 17 MW — by way of taking over 100 per cent shareholding of the SPV (special purpose vehicle) companies formed for the said projects.

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd has received two orders from Hindalco Industries Ltd — for a 6x150 MW captive power plant and the Aditya Aluminium Project at Sambalpur, Orissa — for a total value of Rs 152.59 crore.

Ramky Infrastructure Ltd has secured new orders worth Rs 288.32 crore across the water, waste water and building verticals. This includes the Rs 93.86-crore order from the City Municipal Council, Bijapur, and a Rs 98.17-crore order from Lodha Dwellers Private Ltd, for civil construction works for the proposed residential buildings at Dombivali.
