Excel Crop Care on Friday said the Supreme Court order on Endosulfan is not likely to have any impact on the company or its financials. Following the public interest litigation in 2011, the apex court in May 2011 had passed an interim order banning the production, sale and use of Endosulfan. On January 10, it has disposed of the PIL by directing the State governments to release the undisbursed amount of compensation to the affected persons within three months and directed the State governments to recover the compensation either from the concerned industry or from the Government of India. Excel Crop has no stocks of Endosulfan. The stock closed at ₹1,742.2, down 0.88 per cent on the NSE.
