Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday informed the exchanges that effective October 3, 2018, it will make an upward revision in the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles and scooters. The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer said the revision has been necessitated by the increasing commodity costs and currency depreciation. The price hike will translate to an increase of up to ₹900 per bike, although the exact quantum of the increase will vary, based the model and the specific market, said the company. Shares of Hero MotoCorp closed the day at ₹3,104.5, down 0.10 per cent or ₹3.20, compared to its previous close on the BSE.
