The ₹410 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Standard Glass Lining Technology Ltd. (SGLTL) has opened for subscription, with Geojit Financial Services recommending a “Subscribe” rating. The Hyderabad-based engineering equipment manufacturer serves pharmaceutical (82 per cent of FY24 revenue) and chemical industries (13 per cent), sectors expected to drive significant growth in the coming years.
Priced between ₹133 and ₹140 per share, the IPO comprises a fresh issue of ₹210 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) worth ₹200 crore. Proceeds will fund capital expenditure, debt repayment, and investments in subsidiary S2 Engineering.
SGLTL reported robust financial performance with revenue growing at a CAGR of 50.5% from ₹240.2 crore in FY22 to ₹543.7 crore in FY24. Its net profit also rose at a 55 per cent CAGR during the same period. At the upper price band, the stock’s P/E ratio of 38.5x (FY25 annualized) is deemed fair by Geojit compared to peers.
The Indian glass-lined equipment market, valued at ₹11.5 billion in FY24, is projected to grow to ₹18.6 billion by FY29, supported by strong demand from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Globally, the sector is expected to expand at a CAGR of 10.1 per cent.
While SGLTL enjoys a 17% market share in India, key risks include dependency on limited suppliers and reliance on pharma and chemical sectors. Despite these challenges, the company’s diversified product portfolio, strategic collaborations, and plans for capacity expansion underpin its growth trajectory.
The IPO will close on January 8, 2025, with shares expected to list on the BSE and NSE. Investors can bid for a minimum of 107 shares, amounting to ₹14,980 at the upper price band.
