Shares of auto maker Tata Motors Ltd jumped as much as 4.4 per cent to Rs 486.80, their highest in almost three weeks.
At 1.50 pm, the stock was trading 4.06 per cent or Rs 18.90 higher at Rs 484.10.
Tata Motors posted 21 per cent rise in global vehicle wholesales for June.
JLR retail sales for June were up 17 per cent y/y.
Tata Motors shares were the top percentage gainer on the broader Nifty index.
The stock has gained 19 per cent this year as of Friday's close.
