IL&FS Transportation Networks has emerged as the lowest bidder for two highway projects worth ₹4,174 crore in Maharashtra, bids for which were invited by the National Highways Authority of India. The Centre had approved both the projects on June 17. The main object of the projects is to expedite infrastructure development in Maharashtra and reduce the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic.
