The General Secretary of All India Trade Union Congress, Gurudas Dasgupta, while extending unstinted support to the agitating bank employees and officers, has urged the Government to intervene and resolve the demands of the UFBU (United Forum of Bank Unions) without further delay.
"When the Government expects banks to play a greater role in reaching out to the common masses, it is unfair to deny the legitimate wage revision for the employees and officers. Bank strikes would affect the economy and dislocate banking services," he said, emphasising the need for urgent intervention in this regard.
