Milind Kharat is the new man at the helm of United India Insurance Co. Ltd. He took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the company on October 18.
He is a post graduate in economics from the University of Bombay and an LLB. He is also a fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
Kharat began his career as a direct recruit officer of the 1979 batch of General Insurance Corporation of India and has subsequently held different positions at various levels with diverse profiles including Divisional Manager, Senior Divisional Manager and regional head of New India Assurance Company Ltd.
Prior to his posting as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of United India, he held the position of CMD in Agriculture Insurance Co of India Ltd, says a press release from United India.
