The Seventh All-India Convention of Women Bank Employees is scheduled to be held in Mumbai between December 19 and 21.
The Maharashtra State Bank Employees’ Federation is gearing up to host this convention at the Indian Education Society, Dadar East, Mumbai.
A special logo has been designed to imply the theme, “Together We Can”.
The Chairperson of the Reception Committee is Asha Mokashi, first convener of the women's wing of AIBEA (All-India Bank Employees’ Association).
While stating that over 500 delegates would be taking part in the convention, the General-Secretary of AIBEA, C H Venkatachalam, said the women counterparts in the association have come a long way in the last two decades.
Women employee leaders of bank unions from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Philippines and representatives from the World Federation of Trade Unions would attend the event, he said.
