Exide Life Insurance recorded a 27 per cent growth in profit (PBT) to ₹112 crore for the financial year 2016-17.
Announcing the company’s financial results, Kshitij Jain, Managing Director and CEO, Exide Life Insurance, said, “Our well diversified distribution network coupled with protection, savings and investment plans, helped deliver this growth.”
Jain said new business premium stood at ₹863 crore, a 36 per cent growth over last year.
Total premium income rose 18 per cent to ₹2,409 crore.
