Non-banking finance company Home Credit has captured 60 per cent share in the sub-Rs 10,000 consumer loans category in Hyderabad in the second quarter of the current financial year.

This was disclosed by Tomas Hrdlicka, Chief Marketing Officer, Home Credit India, at a press conference held here on Thursday.

The market share was arrived at on the basis of a recent report by an international financial analyst firm, CRIF, he said.

Gurgaon-based Home Credit recently tied up with smartphone brands such as Gionee, Intex, Lava, Micromax, OPPO, Samsung and Vivoto to offer zero interest loans on mobile phone purchases.

Stating that Hyderabad was an ‘important’ market for Home Credit, he said: “Launched in the city in 2014, we already have over 250 points of sales in the city and are looking forward to expand further to 400 POS’ by the year-end.”
