South Indian Bank has commenced a new initiative called Foreign Exchange Advisory Cell to provide advisory services by subject experts on FEMA rules and trade finance related issues to the general public.

At present, the service is available at the bank’s Treasury Department in Mumbai and International Banking division in Kochi. This value added service is open not only to the bank’s customers, but also to all the ‘foreign exchange trade fraternity’ and is a complimentary service.

The Centre’s new initiatives like ‘Make in India’ is destined to make the country a force to reckon with in the global business arena and more entrepreneurs are venturing into cross border trade. However, they need proper guidance in issues related to international trade and the Foreign Exchange Advisory Cell will be a welcome step to bridge the gap presently existing in ‘Trade Finance Advisory Services’, a press release said.

The Foreign Exchange Advisory Cell can be contacted on the following numbers from 10 AM to 5 PM on all working days: 022-67868880, 0484-2355499, 0484-2368476 and 09072 44 88 99.
