The Centre has appointed Mr M. V. Tanksale, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank, as Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India. He will take charge of his new assignment on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Mr Tanksale has been appointed as CMD of Central Bank of India for a period up to July 31, 2013. He had become Executive Director of Punjab National Bank in March 2009.
Prior to joining PNB as Executive Director, Mr Tanksale had a long stint of 36 years in Union Bank of India, starting from the position of Assistant Manager and rising up to the post of General Manager.
