All set for Hyderabad Metro launch, Global Entrepreneurs Summit

Stage is set for the flagging off of the Hyderabad metro rail and the inauguration of Global Entrepreneurs Summit in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the phase one of the much-awaited Rs 14,132 crore metro rail project at about 2.15 pm in the presence of State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Miyapur, one of the terminal stations of the 72-long metro project.

After taking a short ride on the metro, he will head to Inaugurate the three-day GES being hosted at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

During the inaugural plenary, after Prime Minister's keynote address, Ivanka Trump, Advisor to US President Donald Trump, who is leading a large US delegation, and the Chief Minister will speak at the event.

About 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders have converged at the venue for the grand gala event, expected to catalyse investments.

Apart from providing a platform for start-ups and entrepreneurs, the summit is expected to play a role in cross-border linkages.

Hyderabad city has been decked up to receive the global delegates and security has been beefed up for the PM's visit. Later in the evening the Prime Minister will host a grand gala dinner at the Taj Falaknuma Palace.
