Andhra Pradesh is being given almost all benefits of special status with about Rs 2.25 lakh crore worth projects underway, according to the Union Minster for Information and Broadcasting, Venkaiah Naidu.
Speaking at a press conference held here on Sunday, he said the Centre was committed to the all-round development of AP.
"We are working on this for the last two years not just today, " Naidu said.
He reiterated that the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission would not permit grant of special status to AP.
"The implementation of GST will also neutralise many exemptions which may occur to AP as part of special status," he said.
Finding fault with the UPA Govt for not including special status in AP Reorganisation Act, he said Congress and other parties had no right to criticise him and BJP.
