Amid a plethora of festivities marking India’s Independence Day in the Gulf region, here is one that stands out as unique — the test drive of a new car.
Volkswagen’s Dubai-based partner, Al Nabooda Automobiles, has announced it is celebrating India’s Independence Day, offering Indian nationals the opportunity to test drive the all-new Jetta.
The company said it welcomes all Indian nationals, with a valid UAE licence, to register for a test drive of the all-new Jetta at the Al Nabooda showrooms.
“There is a large Indian population in the UAE,” said Mr Thierry Seys, General Manager Volkswagen at Al Nabooda Automobiles.
“The August 15 is a very important date in history, and signifies India’s birth as a modern republic. We’re happy to celebrate this momentous day with Indian citizens in the UAE, and invite everyone to celebrate as well,” Mr Seys said.
Al Nabooda launched the new Jetta in May 2011.
