As Das babu carefully grooms himself for a special visit he will soon undertake, one of his life’s aspirations is sitting right outside his hut — a sparkling motorcycle, which will take this young entrepreneur from Odisha’s Pipili village to Raghurajpur village in the same Puri district. And guess what his mission is? To see a girl his parents have chosen for him. The young enterpriser is a sub-distributor for detergent and other domestic products for the past five years. He uses his vehicle to travel 30-50 km daily, covering four to five villages in the region. Das babu hopes to someday bring back his bride riding pillion behind him.
