Punjab is going great guns in trying to grow its army of dairy professionals. This month the government will undertake 125 special training camps in all districts. Participants will learn artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and milk handling. For those interested in subsidies for buying livestock, insurance of milch animals, construction of sheds and fodder harvesters, among others, the administration is willing to provide up to 75 per cent. An opportunity, no doubt.
