“Television is a part of every household, and hosting Bigg Boss gives me the chance to strengthen my bond with the viewers,” says Kamal Haasan, the Tamil film star.
Addressing media persons at the launch of television reality show Bigg Boss’ trailer, which will be broadcast in Tamil from June 25 on Star Vijay, he said: “I will be myself in the show as a host and will not play a role.”
Haasan will be making a weekly appearance on the television show.
He was keen to play the host as “many peers and seniors have hosted the successful show,” he added.
The show monitors 14 celebrities who will spend 100 days together with 30 cameras to capture their interactions.
Normally, every human being plays multiple roles, people are different in public and in private, at work and at home. It is only under pressure that the true nature is revealed, the actor said.
The show underlines the theme there is “no life without cooperation”, a theme he believes in, said Haasan. Smartphone brand Vivo is the title sponsor for the first Tamil edition of Bigg Boss 2017.
