What connects Bollywood’s King Khans — Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman — to Udupi? It’s the mobile games of their movies.
Udupi-based gaming studio 99Games Online Pvt Ltd has come out with mobile games for the action-packed Aamir movie Dhoom:3 by Aamir and yet-to-be-released Shah Rukh-starrer FAN.
Third collaborationNow the company is on course to create a mobile game for Sultan , a Salman-starrer.
99Games CEO Rohith Bhat told BusinessLine that the company will create an exclusive mobile game for Sultan , which is being produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF). This marks the third collaboration between YRF and 99Games.
Sultan: The Game will be action-centric, targeting casual users, said Bhat. The company expects 15 million downloads of the game.
According to Anila Andrade, the company’s Associate Vice-President (Operations), Sultan captures the resurgence and redemption of wrestling champion Sultan Ali Khan (played by Salman), who returns to the ring after a gap of eight years.
Various levelsPlayers of Sultan: The Game will play as Salman Khan, fighting different opponents at varying difficulty levels.
Players will compete in a leader-board to get higher ranks, and the winners will get a chance to meet Salman in real life, she said.
The game will be launched on May 16, around two months before the release of the movie.
