Gunfire erupted in central Kabul today after a suicide bomb exploded near the Defence Ministry during a visit to the city by new US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel.
“It was a suicide bomb followed by gunfire at the south gate of the Defence Ministry,” a spokesman for the NATO force said.
