My favourite airport: Mumbai Airport International Terminal 2.

What I like about it: Purely on merit I dare say it is one of the best airports I have been to, whether one sees the amenities, the number of security and immigration points, food choices, lounges, shopping areas and the overall space. The ‘Jaya He’ art wall is one of its kind. I have never seen such passionate work on any other airport though I have seen far more ostentatious airports like Changi and Dubai. I think just to see the Art Wall one should arrive at or depart from Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2.

What could be improved: The length one needs to walk after exiting the aircraft from the aerobridge till the immigration. The number of escalators or golf carts is not enough. The number of exits from the arrival gates to the concourse area and the structure has to be thought through better. Mumbai Airport has made a complete hash of the arrivals and pick-up arrangements and it needs to be completely redone. People who come to the city must be picked up comfortably. Mumbai Airport is probably one of the most inconvenient places and I dread each time I am at the arrival gate.

Other airports I like: I like Chek Lap Kok, Changi, Kuala Lumpur. I find airports like Zurich, Chicago, JFK New York have some very scenic views.
