Bvlgari Diva's Dream Phoenix Tourbillon

There are few women’s watches that are assertively beautiful and intelligent, inside. At Baselworld 2018, Bvlgari will present a befitting ode to women with the Diva’s Dream Phoenix Tourbillon. The Bvlgari watch represents timeless beauty and strength of a woman with the Phoenix, a bird that stands as a metaphor for cycles of death and resurrection. A manual winding movement powers this creation. The ladies diamond watch ensures precise time with the help of a Tourbillon complication that negates the effect of gravity on the watch’s minuscule parts. There will be only 50 piece of the Diva’s Dream Phoenix Tourbillon.

Blancpain is one of the most understated and ingenious watch brands at Baselworld. It falls under the same watch group umbrella as Omega and Longines. This year, Blancpain will show Quantième Complet GMT, a watch best described as a vintage dream with immaculate horological mechanism. It offers some of the most esteemed watch functions without looking overcrowded. A serpentine blue hand indicates the date. Day and month are announced clearly on windows at 12. The moonphase sits pretty at 6. Not to forget the GMT function that indicates a second time zone with the red pointed hand. The newly introduced under-lug correctors are now used to set the Moonphase and calendar on the timepiece.

Omega De Ville Trésor

Women will have quite a few chronographs to choose from this year’s Baselworld novelties. Omega is likely to continue its winning streak as one of the most wanted brands, with a bunch of renewed classic timepieces. The De Ville Trésor has been reimagined with elongated, slender Roman numerals dominating the watch face. Diamonds are subtly embedded in the uncommon frame of the watch dial. Omega will launch a number of watches with distinctive combinations of straps and materials in the Trésor line, particularly for women this year.

Breitling will reign as the most newsworthy brand at Baselworld this year. With a new CEO and new owners, Breitling is in the process of renewal. The brand’s new CEO is the former head of watchmaking at Richemont Group. Georges Kern brings several changes to a distinguished brand known for making pilot’s watches. The winged ‘B’ logo will be discontinued from new watches and replaced by an older, subtler Breitling logo. Five new watches have already been announced as part of a revamped Navitimer 8 collection. Many more will be launched at the Swiss watch fair.

An independent brand known for its quirky and creative watches will display a newer version of its Legacy Machine Perpetual watch. The stunner will be presented in a fresh garb of blue-green face made of titanium metal. Only 50 pieces of MB&F LM Perpetual in Titanium will be made. Watches with Perpetual calendar are wound in a way to count and show the 29th day of February during a leap year. MB&F narrates the beauty of a Perpetual calendar movement in an unusual way by placing the openwork on the face of the dial.
