Kandhari Beverages and Enrich Agro Foods, two leading franchise bottlers of Coca-Cola India, are set to make fresh investments of ₹510 crore in Haryana.

The two companies on Tuesday signed memoranda of understanding with the Haryana government on the sidelines of the “Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit.”

Kandhari Beverages plans to invest about ₹300 crore to set up multiple high-speed manufacturing lines for juice, energy and sparkling drinks at Saha in Ambala, while Enrich Agro Food Products will invest ₹210 crore to set up a new manufacturing line for beverages in Rohtak by 2018, as well as in a packaging unit for Coca-Cola system.

The new investments by the two bottling companies are expected to generate direct employment for over 325 people, an official statement said.

Bikram Kandhari, ED, Kandhari Beverages, said: “The investment is rooted in the government’s vision for the food processing sector and the role that the beverage industry can play in benefitting Indian farmers. It is also in keeping with Coca-Cola’s focus of providing more choice to the consumer.”

VPS Kandhari, MD, Enrich Agro Food Products, said: “This investment will not only help us in augmenting our production capacity but also play a key role in contributing to the social and economic well-being of the State.”
