Tata Power has launched a new LED tube light programme for residential consumers in the Mumbai distribution area, which it will provide five lights at ₹525 per piece against the market rate of ₹1,325. It has been initiated by Tata Power in partnership with Osram India and other electrical equipment manufacturers. The company in a BSE statement said that the programme is a part of the Demand Side Management initiative so as to promote the use of LED technology amongst households. A standard 40 watt regular tube light can be replaced by a 22-watt LED tube light. The products would be home delivered with an exclusive three year warranty on the LED tube light, the statement said.
