National carrier Air India will commence operations on Bengaluru-Mysuru-Bengaluru route with an ATR aircraft effective from September 3. Air India flight 9I 513 will depart from Bengaluru at 6 am and will arrive at Mysore at 6.40 am. On the return leg, flight 9I 514 will depart from Mysore at 7 am and arrive at Bengaluru at 7.40 am. The flight will operate six days a week.The service will save Bengaluru passengers the time-consuming and arduous journey by road to Mysuru, said an airline release.
