G Chandramouli today took charge as airport director of Chennai International Airport following retirement of Deepak Shastri on November 30.
Hitherto, Chandramouli was General Manager (E)/commercial, Airports Authority of India, Southern Region, Chennai.
Chandramouli started his career in AAI in 1989 as an electrical engineer at Vodadara airport, and later worked in various capacities in Kozhikode, Bagdogra, Chennai and New Delhi in engineering/airport.
On deputation, he was appointed as Managing Director of Kannur International Airport Ltd, Kerala, for three years from July 2013 to July 2016 before returning to AAI southern region, says a press release from Chennai airport.
