Fund-raising may help Jet Airways soar

Jet Airways, post-market hours on Monday said it has successfully closed a five-year syndicate loan for $150 million from banks in West Asia. Financial institutions from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Doha have participated in the issue. The major financiers include Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC. Sugar stocks may sour on weak price

Shares of sugar firms including Balrampur Chini, Bajaj Hindusthan and Simbhaoli Sugars could come under pressure as sugar prices continued to rule flat. A 47 per cent rise in production in the first two-and-a-half months of the current season, beginning October 1, compared with the same period a year ago is seen keeping prices on a leash. However, the Centre's recent directive to oil marketing firms to hike ethanol prices could support sugar prices at the lower end.
